In fiscal year 2022, thanks to the generous support of donors, we raised $118,800 USD for our charity programs.
Donations to the Unforgotten are tax deductible. We are classified by the IRS as a tax exempt public charity under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. Please take a look at our Tax Exempt Letter.
Expenses
In fiscal year 2022, The Unforgotten directed $102,875 USD towards program expenses. $35,345 USD was used to support the education of wastepicker children in Zambia, Yemen, Djibouti, Sierra Leone and Nepal. $27,000 USD was directed towards providing emergency health care services for Rohingya refugees. $7,128 USD was directed towards school construction in Lusaka Zambia for child wastepickers. $5,750 USD was directed toward visas for Afghanistan refugees. $3,000 USD was used for WASH project (well construction) for Mwalukanga village in Zambia. $6,037 USD was used to provide laptops for our learning center being developed in Zambia. The remainder was used for licenses and registrations, and travel to oversee programs.
